I asked it: What’s my blind spot?
The answer wasn’t harsh or dramatic. It was simple. It pointed out that sometimes the things we’re best at are the things we stop noticing — especially when they involve carrying responsibility for other people.
That hit home.
Because a big part of my job — the part most people never see — is carrying things quietly so my clients don’t have to.
Behind every transaction, there’s a lot happening that never makes it into emails or phone calls. I’m watching timelines, reading tone, anticipating issues, and making sure small problems don’t turn into big ones. I’m thinking three steps ahead so my buyers and sellers don’t have to.
I don’t usually say things like:
“I’ve already thought through three ways this could go sideways.”
“I caught this before it became a problem.”
“This needed to be handled carefully so it didn’t create unnecessary stress.”
Not because those things aren’t happening — but because good representation often looks quiet. If everything feels steady, that’s usually intentional.
I absorb a lot of the pressure so my clients can stay focused on making clear decisions instead of reacting to every bump in the road. I slow things down when needed. I know when to push and when not to. And sometimes the most important work I do is the work that never needs explaining because it prevented an issue altogether.
That’s where my blind spot comes in.
When you’re good at carrying things for others, it’s easy to forget how much you’re carrying — because from the outside, it just looks like things are going smoothly.
But that’s also what makes me a better agent.
It means my buyers and sellers don’t feel rushed.
They don’t feel blindsided.
They don’t feel like they’re navigating the process alone.
They feel informed, protected, and supported — even when the situation itself isn’t simple.
Real estate isn’t just about getting to the finish line. It’s about how you get there. My goal has always been to keep the process as clear, steady, and honest as possible — even when there’s a lot happening behind the scenes.
If you’re in a place where you’re thinking about a move and want someone who’s paying attention to the details and the people involved, that’s exactly how I work.
